1932 Bygget som hvalbåt KOS XII ved Smith's Dock Co. Ltd, South Bank, Middlesbrough, England for Kosmos II A/S (Anders Jahre), Sandefjord. Sjøsatt 21/04, overlevert i juni.
Gikk til Sydishavet med den nye kokeriet KOSMOS II for sesongen 1932/33 i et samarbeide med Tønsberg rederne Bruun og von der Lippe (Jahre-gruppen).
1933 Bøyebåt for KOSMOS II for sesongen 1933/34. Thorvald Hansen var skytter.
1934 Fanget sesongen 1934/35 for KOSMOS II. Thorvald Hansen var skytter.
1935 Total produksjonen for sesongen 1934/35 ble 142.086 fat hvalolje og 6.174 fat spermolje.

Leiet av Royal Navy i november for ombygging til minesveiper og avgikk med kurs for Glasgow, Scotland 12/11. Omdøpt til KOS XII (FY 1825). Anløp Freetown, Sierra Leone og St. Vincent, Kapp Verde øyene. Ankom øya St. Michaels ved Land’s End, England 15/12. Avgikk St. Michaels 21/12 med ankomst Glasgow 29/12.
1941 Avgår Clyde 26/05 med retning Shields, England. Gikk i konvoi OG 064 med kurs for Gibraltar 05/06 sammen med KOS VII, X og XI.
Omdøpt til HMS HAILSTORM (FY 1825) september.
1944 Benyttet som minelegger.
1945 Returnert eierne i september og tilbakestilt som KOS XII. Reparert og konvertert til hvalbåt ved verksted i Port Talbot, Wales. Gikk fra Port Talbot 15/10 og ankom Swansea, Wales samme dag. Forlot Swansea 19/10 med kurs for Middlesbrough. Ankom Middlesbrough 22/10.

1932 Built as catcher KOS XII by Smith's Dock Co. Ld., South Bank, Middlesbrough for Kosmos II A/S (Anders Jahre & Co.), Sandefjord. Launched 21/04, handed over in June.
Left for the Antarctic with the new factory KOSMOS II for the season 1932/33 in collaboration with Tønsberg shipowners Bruun and von der Lippe (Jahre group).
1933 A new season with KOSMOS II for the season 1933/34. This time as buoy boat. Thorvald Hansen was the gunner.
1934 Season 1934/35 hunting vessel for KOSMOS II. Thorvald Hansen was the gunner.
1935 Total production for the season 1934/35 was 142,086 barrels of whale oil and 6,174 barrels of sperm oil.
