1936/37.
1937 Etter fangstavslutning sesongen 1936/37 opplag i Cape Town.
Kokeriet fortsatte til Sandefjord med ventet ankomst 14/04. Årets
produksjon losses i Rotterdam. Kokeriet settes i inn i tankfart på
sommeren.

1937/40.
1940 Rekvirert i mai av South African Naval Forces og bygd om til
ubåtjager. Omdøpt til HMSAS
ODBERG (T-25).
1946 Overtatt i juni av Union Government of South Africa, Cape
Town.
Solgt til A/S Kosmos (Anders Jahre A/S), Sandefjord.
Omdøpt til KOS 30.
1947 Tilbakestilt som hvalbåt ved Jahre-Gruppens
reparasjonsverksted i Walvis Bay, Sørvest Afrika.

var Aksel Hansen.
1948 Fanget for kokeriet KOSMOS IV sesongen
1948/49. Alfred Pedersen var skytter.

Forlenget til 154’10" ved Kieler Howaldtswerke, Kiel, Tyskland.
Ildrørskjelene blir byttet ut med to moderne oljefyrte vannrørskjeler
med kunstig trekk fra Foster Wheeler Corp., New York, NY, USA. Total
heteflate (HF) 4.924 ft². Arbeidstrykk 250 psi.

Built as the whale catcher ODBERG at Kaldnes mek. Verksted,
Tønsberg for the account of Kerguelen Sealing & Whaling Co. Ltd.,
(N. C. Watt, London.

Launched 17/09-1936 and completed 22/10-1936.
Catching for the TAFFELBERG factory in the South Sea season
1936/37.
1937 After end of season 1936/37 the catchers follow the factory
to Cape Town where they is laid up for the summer for maintenance and
storing awaiting a new season in the south.
The factory continued to
Sandefjord and arrived 14/04 with a full load of whalers waiting to get
home. The production of the year was discharged in Rotterdam. The
factory was put to to trade as regular tanker that summer.

1947 Re-constructed as whale catcher at the whaling companies (Jahre-Group)
repair yard in Walvis Bay.
Participates as a catcher for the factory KOSMOS III season
1947/48. The shooter was Aksel Hansen.
1948 Used as a catcher for the KOSMOS IV factory during
the season 1948/49. Alfred Pedersen was a shooter.
1949 extended to 154'10 by the Kieler Howaldtswerke in Kiel. The
fire tube boilers are replaced with two modern water tube boilers from
Foster Wheeler Corp., New York, NY w/forced draft, oil firing,
total heat surface (HF)
calculated 4.924 kv/ft, working pressure 250 PSI
Catching for the KOSMOS IV in the season 1949/50. The shooter was
Alfred Pedersen.
1950 Catching for KOSMOS IV season 1950/51.
The shooter was Daniel Hansen.
1951 In catch for KOSMOS IV season 1951/52. Shooters were
Erling B. Hansen until 07/02 and Knut B. Hansen from the same date.
1952 Not in operation.
1953 Catching for for KOSMOS III season 1953/54. The
shooter was Knut B. Hansen.
1954 Used as a buoy boat for KOSMOS III season 1954/55.
The shooter was Thorbjørn Gulliksen.
1955 Season 1955/56 as a catcher for KOSMOS IV. Shooters
were Per Hvatum and Gustav Andersen.
1956 Taken out of regular whaling after the season and put as a
spare boat.
1963. Sold to Christiania Spigerverk and broken up by Nprsk
Shipsopphugging in Grimstad in December 1963. |
