Historikk:

1908 Bygget som hvalbåt EDDA ved Akers mek. Verksted, Kristiania for Bryde & Dahl's Hvalfangerselskap (Thor Dahl og Ingvald Bryde), Sandefjord. Sjøsatt 31/08-1908.
Det ble kontrahert to hvalbåter samtidig, EDDA og SNORRE. Grunnet betalingsvansker ble den ene, SNORRE, liggende ved verkstedet, og ble ikke løst ut før i 1909.
EDDA dro til fangstfeltet ved Syd Georgia med kokeriet AVIEMORE, som var innleiet fra selskapet Alfa & Beta, Sandefjord. De skulle operere ut fra landstasjonen Godthul.
1909 EDDA drar til Syd Georgia om høsten sammen med den nye hvalbåten SNORRE og kokeriene ADMIRALEN og AVIEMORE. Sesongen 1909-1910 ga et utbytte på 10.300 fat.
1910 På fangst ved Godthul, Syd Georgia alle sesonger frem til 1920.
1920 Solgt til utlandet
1926 Innlemmet i flåten til Union Whaling, Syd-Afrika. Satt i fangst på Afrika kysten.
1936 Fremdeles i Union Whaling’s eie i 1936.

History in English:

1908 Built as whale catcher EDDA by Akers mek. Verksted, Kristiania for Bryde & Dahl's Hvalfangerselskap (Thor Dahl and Ingvald Bryde), Sandefjord. Launched on 31/08-1908.
Two new whale catchers was ordered from Akers mek. Verksted, Kristiania at the same time, EDDA and SNORRE. As the income of the company was poor, SNORRE was kept back by the yard, until payment was in settled. She was laid up at the yard until she was released in 1909.
EDDA went to the whale field at South Georgia as catcher for the floating factory AVIEMORE. AVIEMORE was chartered from the company Alfa & Beta, Sandefjord. Operation took place from the shore base at Godthul.
1909 EDDA went back to South Georgia for the next season in company with her sister ship SNORRE and floating factory ADMIRALEN and AVIEMORE. The season of 1909/10 gave a result of 10.300 bbls.
1910 Catching from Godthul, South Georgia all seasons until 1920.
1920 Sold to foreign buyers.
1926 Included in the whaling fleet of Union Whaling, South-Africa. Started catching on the coast of Natal at the South-African east coast.
1936 Still a Union Whaling catcher in 1936.
